When the right cryotherapy equipment is used, the science of subjecting the entire human body to extremely cold temperatures to stimulate the healing of its circulatory, nervous, and energy systems is a powerful remedial technology. According to scientific and medical research, the optimum efficiency of whole-body cryotherapy procedures is achieved once the body is exposed to temperatures between -120°C and -150°C, reducing the skin’s surface temperature to approximately 5°C. These non-invasive, short, and extremely cold bursts of air projected to the human body evoke physiological reactions that prompt healing and recovery in numerous fields, including beautification treatments, sports injuries rehabilitation, and medical functions. Additionally, the controlled cold environment has been proven to trigger an analgesic reaction in the neural mind leading to positive mood states and thus acting as an antidepressant and sleep disorders repairer.

A cryotherapy session takes three minutes and it starts with the patient entering the °CRYO Chamber where the cryogenically cooled air is released. Improvements in the skin’s appearance and increased energy are immediately noticeable after the first treatment. For longer lasting results, a minimum of 10 sessions is generally recommended.

Our Arctic Silver Whole Body Cryotherapy Chamber uses state of the art technology that makes this complicated multi-lateral process of thermoregulation simple and efficient while conforming to the highest quality and safety standards.

I am a full-time personal trainer and normally have my clients do their cryo in an open-top type chamber. I was traveling and went to do a session for my jet lag. I was expecting to see an open top but they had that Cryo Arctic “pod” type of chamber. It did look cool (mine was white), but my experience was not as good as what I am used to.

I basically felt locked in the chamber. They close the door on you and you know that you are safe, but it still is a little spooky. I knew I could push the door open if I wanted to, but just feeling like that might have to happen was weird. The cold air comes in from the bottom, and it is a humid-type of air. The air is breathable, but it is so dang cold and thick that it is actually hard to breathe, and that made me more anxious. If you try it and take in a deep breath it does not feel good.

Inside it quickly filled up with the clouds of cold air, and kept filling up until I couldn’t see out of the window. Open tops are better in this sense because I can always see everything and actually talk to the operator and see the countdown clock to measure how much time I had left. To me that’s a big deal, but I am used to open tops and I like the comfort of the operator talking to me. There is no talking or communicating in the Arctic other than banging on the window or yelling through the door, which is foggy and icy.

When I was done I did notice that my skin and especially my heels were damp. That’s a totally different experience from the dry cryosaunas with the open top that are 100% dry. As a trainer I think it looks cool, but with the humidity it seems that sooner or later the parts will break since it does get pretty cold inside. I used this site to review which chamber our gym was going to buy and we eventually decided on an open top and we bought the XR because it has a lot of safety features and our staff can’t rip us off by giving away free sessions.

I added this cryo chamber to my spa and everything was going well until the screen stopped working. Every time I tried to start a session it would go well until about half-way through, and then it would shut down. This sucked. I would have to apologize and restart the session, and I felt unreliable to my clients. It took awhile to get it fixed but now I am worried EVERY TIME.

Don’t buy this thing. They told me that it was the best and the brightest and that the world would flock to my door once it was here. It worked great for about 2 weeks and then started going “offline” for no reason. I’m now trying to sell it or get them to ACTUALLY COME HERE AND FIX IT. My regulars who bought bundles are demanding refunds. Customer service is a joke.
